15 Mins	- Esther had been chosen along with many other young women to live in the Persian palace to be prepared as the next Queen - v.9 Esther pleased the official and she received the best care - v.11 Mordecai were there to make sure Esther was in good care - Read v.15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai who had taken her as his daughter, came to go in to the king, she did not request anything except what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the women, advised. And Esther found favor in the eyes of all who saw her - Read v.17 King Ahasyweros favored her and Esther was chosen to be the Queen - Read v.21-23 Mordecai knows about conspiracy to harm the King - Haman, one of the important person in the kingdom (his position is above all princes) - And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not - Haman eventually knows why Mordecai did not want to bow to him, because he's a Jew. - Haman was mad and plans to destroy all the Jews by telling the king, that these unnamed people is dangerous v.8&9 - The king believed Haman and sealed a stamp, even gave 10.000 talents to do the evil plan. - After Mordecai knows about the plan, he asked Ester to help, by sending her letters - At that time, nobody can asked to meet the King, the consequence is their life, except if the King held out his scepter - Mordecai reminded Esther that it was no accident that God allowed her to be a queen. This was an opportunity to save the Jewish people - Esther asked Mordecai and all Jewish people to pray and fast for her for 3 days. After that Esther bravely asked to meet the King. - The King held out her Scepter, it was a relief. - She asked for a banquet, but only Haman who's invited. - The King couldn't sleep, and read the royal record and found that Mordecai has saved his life. - The King asked Haman to honor Mordecai v.6:10-11. And at the banquet he found out that Haman was threatening the life of his queen. The king was enraged. - As the result for their safety, Esther and Mordecai wrote a new law to protect the Jew, and give thanks to God, joyful, share the food and help the needy.
